Add a splash of color to any room with this cielo blue nautical map globe bar.
The legs of turned hardwood house a beautifully-painted lower shelf and sit atop rolling casters for additional convenience.
Although it is not made in Italy, it is manufactured in the Italian style. First the globe is made, consisting of a cast palmer material similar to resin that allows it to keep its shape. Then for the map, a lithograph printing process is done using acid-free paper. Just as for all globes, the paper is hand cut into what is called gores and hand applied to match the spherical shape of the globe. This is identical to the process that is used in Italian globe making and is quite difficult since a map that is a two-dimensional sheet of paper must be attached to a three-dimensional, round object.
Stemware storage capacity of the bar globe cabinet
– Inside the globe itself, each of the two stemware slots is 3 inches wide and 19 inches long along the curve. The center opening for bottle(s) is 8 inches in diameter.
– The oval-shaped openings for bottles on the bottom shelf are 9.5″ – 10″ wide and 6″ – 6.5″ deep.

Got this for my brother on his birthday, actually pretty sweet! Feels and looks kinda cheap, but from afar it looks fantastic. I feel if you were aggressive with opening it, it would break pretty easily, but if you aren’t too crazy, you’ll be just fine.

This item is such poor quality it’s almost laughable except they are charging $200 at time of writing this review which makes me angry enough to write this review to warn others, ignore at your own risk. I have no explanation as to why this item is so highly rated on amazon.com.
The wood used is very cheap, the applied map is embarrassing, almost nothing lines up, just one example, the UK consists of Ireland, west Wales and the tip of Cornwall, the rest of the UK is missing because it has been covered up. The international date line does not line up with the top and bottom globe sections at both intersections at the equator. I could continue but hopefully you get the idea.
The weight of the Globe base and its contents are supported by a single wooden dowel,, therefore I wouldn’t be comfortable putting too much weight inside the globe. Also please note that Burgundy wine glasses will not fit inside the globe as they are too wide for the holder position and curvature of the globe lid.
Thankfully I paid less than a 1/3 of the asking price on a refurbished return item (very minor damage on one of the legs), but I still feel very aggrieved at that price, this item is not worth $50 let alone $200.
